Materials and methods: a total of 265 people (44 men and 221 women, average age 47.1±4.8 years) were examined. Two clinical groups were formed: healthy individuals with normal body weight (n=129) and obese patients (n=136). The composition of the intestinal microbiome was assessed using metagenomic analysis. DNA was isolated from fecal samples and sequencing of the v3-v4 variable region of the 16S rRNA gene was performed. Results: statistically significant (p&lt;0.05) differences in the quantitative and qualitative parameters of some types of microorganisms in the colon of healthy individuals without obesity and in obese patients were revealed. The number of P. copri was increased in obese patients. and decreased F. prausnitzii, B. adolescentis and B. longum. Conclusions: the obtained results demonstrated certain species differences in the intestinal microbiome in healthy individuals and in obese patients.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>ожирение</kwd><kwd>микробиом кишечника</kwd><kwd>виды микроорганизмов</kwd><kwd>метагеномное секвенирование</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>obesity</kwd><kwd>gut microbiome</kwd><kwd>microbial species</kwd><kwd>metagenomic sequencing</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Работа выполнена в рамках договора № 0373100122119000041 по проекту «Создание банка биообразцов сыворотки крови и фекалий от здоровых доноров и пациентов с ожирением, метаболическим синдромом, сахарным диабетом 2 типа, нарушением мукозального барьера желудочно-кишечного тракта с целью выявления кандидатных видонеспецифических медиаторов систем quorum sensing микробиоты человека, модулирующих эндокринную и метаболическую функцию жировой ткани».</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The work was carried out within the framework of the contract No. 0373100122119000041 for the project “Creation of a bank of blood serum and feces biosamples from healthy donors and patients with obesity, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and impaired mucosal barrier of the gastrointestinal tract in order to identify candidate species-non- specific mediators of human microbiota quorum sensing systems that modulate the endocrine and metabolic function of adipose tissue”.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Liu BN, Liu XT, Liang ZH, Wang JH.
